"This log cabin is amazing, a true log cabin."
Everything you could wish for - clean, good quality everything, hand soap provided, washing up liquid provided, all towels and bed linen smell divine. Well appointed and in tip top condition. Everything you could possibly need whilst on holiday a real home from home. Veranda is a great place to sit whatever the weather. The host is lovely and on hand immediately if required. Extremely helpful. Will be back soon we can’t wait.

"Can’t believe we found such a great place to stay at such short notice in mid summer."
Very well equipped accommodation. Super comfy bed, we did struggle to wake in morning. So relaxed. Great space outdoors for our dogs too. Owner was extremely helpful and prompt to help when we contacted her.

The cabin is like a home from home, it has everything you need. It is clean and very comfortable. We absolutely love being there along with our two dog's. Time just went too quickly. We will definitely go back.

"My dog refused to come home!"
Cedar Log Cabin is doggy heaven. As we had glorious weather the doors to the cottage were normally open and the dogs loved the freedom. My friend and I instantly felt chilled and relaxed and found the views stunning. The cabin is well equipped and there are are a number of small luxuries like dressing gowns. Sally-Anne, the owner is friendly and went out of her way to help with issues like getting our online food order delivered to the right place.

"Lovely proper log cabin in great location and ideal for the dogs who really enjoyed themselves."
It was a pleasure to meet Sally-Ann who was very helpful.
Not far to walk down to the canal towpath which provided easy no navigation walking. Many thanks and hope to visit again.

What a stunning cabin in its own grounds. A lot of freedom for the dogs which they enjoyed. Spent most of the week walking lovely canal towpaths through beautiful scenery. Very quiet.
Would recommend the boat at Erbistock - great food and lovely setting next to the river. Also, the boathouse at Ellesmere - sit outside next to the mere. Great to be able to walk from the cabin over fields onto the towpath and then decide which way to go!
We hope to return soon.
Lovely to meet Sally-Anne and good luck with the new venture

The cabin was just perfect for both us and our two dogs. Having the paddock exclusively was a key factor to having no worries about our dogs security. We loved it and shall definitely be coming back.

"We had a fabulous week's holiday."
With 5 acres of green grass field in front was just so peaceful. Bailey our dog loved it too. Everything you need is there. If you want peace and quite this is the holiday for you. Loads of lovely walks nearby. Aqueducts are a must. Chester and Shrewsbury great for walks and shopping. Enjoy!

The facilities were as advertised. User manuals for the cooker in particular would be useful as we had never used that type of electric hob before. In the end we used the internet to give us the basics and it worked fine afterwards. We travelled with a 96 year old and some sort of plastic chair that could be put in the bath / shower to allow use of the shower might be worth considering. We loved the position and access to the field which was great for the dogs. Loved the stay and the county of Shropshire and will be back in the future.

The cabin and paddock far exceeded our expectations. It was really perfect for us and our two Labradors and we enjoyed many walks around the grounds. The comfort and snugness of the Cabin itself was superb the views and the solitude helped to rubber stamp it as the perfect holiday getaway for us. We definitely plan to return.

We have had a great week in the Cabin (9th year), the weather has been great, we've had some lovely walks with the dog's and a couple of pints sat by the canal. For us its just a great place to chill out. It was nice to meet & catch up with Mike & Silvia (previous owner's). But also, really nice to meet Sally-Anne, we wish her all the best in her new venture. We will
be back next year (already booked) had a great time.

So it was the perfect environment for them. We explored lots as we had never been to Shropshire before. Ellesmere is a lovely community with gorgeous country side, walks by the canal. The mere is beautiful at Shrewsbury. A day out is worth the short Journey.
Thank you Sally-Anne It was lovely to meet you.
We will definitely be coming back

First time in this area and The Cabin, loved every Second of it. Fabulous cabin with everything you need, in it and a wonderful massive front garden for lovely walks. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Aqueducts are a must a bit scary when windy.
Chester was lovely, we walked all the way round the city walls then the Roman Gardens and river side.  Shrewsbury was beautiful with great Shopping. Lots of walks along Canals and Parks for Bailey.

First time visitors to the cabin and Shropshire. The cabin is great with everything that you could need. Sally-Ann, it was lovely to meet you and we wish you all the best in your new venture! The dogs love the walks along the canal (in both directions). Would recommend visits to Horseshoe Falls Llangollen and Ironbridge. The walk around Colemere was stunning and out 96-year-old mum loved her walk amongst the flocks geese at Ellesmere with a delicious lunch at The Boathouse. We are amazed at how quiet the roads are compared to our normal Cornwall destinations. Shropshire truly is a hidden gem and we hope to be back to continue exploring in the near future. Thanks again for this beautiful cabin which has been a home from home for us all

What a lovely, peaceful stay. It is so quiet that even the birds seem loud. British Ironworks Centre (Oswestry) is interesting and full of amazing sculptures. The Meres are tranquil and quite beautiful ~ and to close by. Perhaps the most relaxing and regenerating holiday we have had.
We have already booked for next year.
Best wishes, Sally, in your new and exciting adventure;

What’s not to like, log cabin in its own grounds, great views and love and quiet What a find. Had a busy but relaxing Week doing lots. NT Properties at Chirk, Errdig and Allingham Park all worth a visit. Llangollen and the aqueducts also good, there is a nice walk
from, Llangollen to the Horse Shoe falls (36° heat when we did this, phew) and of course the surrounding aqueducts too.
We drove to Liverpool one day which is also worth doing if you have not been there, lots of history + shopping. One thing you must do is go down the road to Whittington Wharf (1 mile away) and hire a boat for the day. This is an awesome day out Lots of places to eat, there is plenty in Ellesmere (closest) or Oswestry (a bit further away). Enjoy your stay

We had a lovely stay at the cabin, just such a shame the weather wasn't great our dogs loved the freedom outside. We enjoyed watching the squirrels and the abundance of different birds, got some great photos of woodpeckers’ carrion crows and jays. Our thanks to SallyAnne.

Such a delight to be back at the Cabin this week. It was lovely to be greeted by Sally- Anne and we wish her well in the new business venture. Fortunately, the weather held for is all week. Lovely Sunday roast at the Sun Inn, Welshampton. A great day out in Shrewsbury - everyone making preparations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Our favourite walk with our black Labrador around Colemere is as unchanged and delightful as ever. The White Hart in Ellesmere is under new (ish.") ownership and is a lovely atmosphere for a drink. As is the Vault in the centre of town: Finished off the week with fish & chips from Whittington and cannot wait to be back again in this oasis of peace & tranquillity

Want to step back from the rat race? fancy peace, quiet and your own 5-acre space with beautiful views then book Cedar Cabin. The cabin had everything and more than we needed to make our weeks stay feel like a home from home, well equipped for with a great outdoor space and picnic bench which we've made use of daily due to the glorious weather we've had all week. It’s been a great base to explore Shropshire and North Wales and we've had some great days out. We will definitely return as soon as we know what holidays we're allowed to take next year.

The cabin is gorgeous and a big well done to the chaps who designed it. Inside is everything you need including lovely robes. Lucy, our 7 year old black lab adored it and just wanted to be outside the whole time in the gorgeous surroundings; such peace and tranquillity. We didn’t venture far but then again we didn’t need to. Such a pity we have to leave here. Very sad to be going.
