Where do we start?
I suppose we need to start at the beginning of our holiday, Sat 15/10. We arrived to see a secluded wonderful sight of a Log cabin that seemed to be smiling from its door and front veranda!
The warmth and homeliness continued inside with cedar, tweed curtains, warm Settee and chairs of neutral Brown. Every amenity has been awarded, from crockery, cutlery and minute detail to enhance the spacious and homely cabin.
We have felt like we were at home, wrapped in warmth will Owls, Carrion Crows, Pheasant, Bats and Coal tits all welcoming us to stay.
Our days were full of trips to everywhere as I am disabled and unable to walk far. We have visited grand Parks and Halls like Attingham, where you can easily spend a full day there as the grandeur meets with modern day. Access it easy for wheelchairs and the staff are always willing to help. Abbey's like: Valle Crucis and Haughmond Abbey are very interesting and Intriguing!
Pontcysylite Aqueduct is a must go on a Weekend to enjoy the full splendour of the Boats and the Aqueduct, you can even hire a boat for the day. Llangollen is a quaint town that is busting with variety, the Llangollen Wharf Canal Boat trip is a must to enjoy either a horse drown trip or the long 4 hour one that takes passengers over the Pontcysylite Aqueduct and yes, they can accommodate Wheelchairs as long as they are folding ones and passengers can walk onto the boat.
Take a drive over Horseshoe Pass and up to World's End' the views are stunning and bursting with all the colours of Autumn ...
Houses, such as Plas Newydd near Llangollen, Power Castle, Croft Castle and Stokesay Castle are excellent places to visit and have variety in abundance. Shrewsbury boasts many independent shops, that you won't Find in an ordinary town.
Ludlow has its own Brewery where you can take a tour and tasting, it is well worth a visit. ..
Meeting Sally Ann was amazing, the warmth and Friendliness leaves a lasting impression. So, to end our peaceful time here in Shropshire we bid farewell to this wonderful place of tranquillity and seclusion, our visit is over, but our memories, like the waterfalls off Pistyll Rhaedr and Swallow Falls; will tumble ever onwards in our time of fulfilment.
Thank you, Sally Ann, it has been an amazing time of which some day we would like to repeat again.
We wish you all the best from
Andrew and Wendy. Date: from 15th Oct 2022 - 29th Oct 2022
